"Highly recommend this beautiful, historic venue. Brent Shelton, the venue manager, is a treasure. He is professional, accommodating, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and extremely talented. He was always at the ready to answer emails, and phone calls along with Alex Jones, another amazing HWB staff. Brent met with us many times so that we could tour the facility, the bridal house, and the grounds. He graciously answered our questions and gave great advice. My daughter also had her wedding portraits taken on the grounds and inside the Great Hall and they were beautiful.

This venue is breathtaking! The ceremony was set up in the Great Hall and the cocktail hour was downstairs in the stable area afterwards. Within ONE HOUR, the staff at Wakefield, Catering Works and their amazing staff, Anna Passarelli with Meristem Florals, and Summer Gilliam with Premier Party Planners wondrously transformed The Great Hall for the reception for 270 seated guests. It was truly the most amazing thing to witness. I misunderstood something regarding the bar setup and within just a few minutes they accommodated my request with ease.

The bridal house is gorgeous, spacious, and can accommodate a very large bridal party with a kitchen, bathroom, and large room for getting dressed, and for for makeup and hair team. Grooms area was great, parking was a breeze, and a large golf cart helped with those who were not able to walk. There is so much more I could say to recommend the Historic Wakefield Barn, but if you are searching for a wedding venue, I highly recommend you just visit Brent and Alex at this amazing property to see for yourself."

"Wow. Where to even begin with this wonderful venue?! We got married this past weekend at the Historic Wakefield Barn and to say it was the perfect venue would be a massive understatement. It truly is a unique property and makes for a very memorable wedding experience. Guests raved all night about how beautiful the space was. Not only is this venue absolutely stunning, it has some of the kindest staff. Brent, in particular, has been one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. "Amber and I were married at the Historic Wakefield Barn last month, and it could not have been more perfect. It is a beautiflul venue inside and out. The pictures are amazing! Dana was our coordinator and Brent was the venue manager. They did a great job at every phase. They had a wealth of knowledge in helping us plan. They suggested an excellent variety of vendors for us. We met with Dana a number of times to ensure our checklists were on track for the wedding day. On the wedding day, Dana kept everyone and the events on schedule. She pushed vendors where needed while keeping Amber and I informed. Photographers will take all of your time if you let them. Dana helped us stay on schedule. Everyone was gracious and checked in periodically to see if anything was needed during the event. We feel that our wedding day was perfect from beginning to end. The staff was incredibly responsive, and they maintained constant communication with me throughout the entire process. I was able to accommodate all my guests and their accessibility needs. I also had a huge bridal suite that fit my seven bridesmaids, the mothers and grandmother, and the makeup artists and photographer/videographer - all without getting too crowded. The best part was being able to have the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same building, but with each part of the day having a different feel.
