With our indoor and outdoor spaces, our full on-site kitchen, and our beverage amenities, The Historic Wakefield Barn is the perfect location for your Event.
From corporate speaking events to local galas, The Historic Wakefield Barn is a luxurious and unique event space that your guests will never forget. Our National Historic Site sits on 14 acres right outside of Downtown Raleigh, creating a private atmosphere for each event.
Our in-house catering can accommodate your party's needs, from light hors d'œuvers, to a full five course meal. Additionally, our team will provide all the tables, chairs, glassware, flatware, and beverages for your event. Our on-site Event Coordinator will be there to help assist your team in scheduling, planning, and running your event from start to finish.
What is our seated capacity?
Our seated capacity is 300 guests in the Main Hall.
How long is the rental period?
Every event is different, so each rental period is created custom for your party.
Can we use outside catering?
Our venue allows outside catering! Your desired company will need to be approve by out team beforehand.
Do we have wifi and audio visual equipment?
Absolutely! Our venue has wifi available in every building, as well as audio visual equipment for an in-house rental.
How many event spaces do we have?
We have three event spaces! Our Main Hall, located on the second story of the barn, our Cocktail Hall, located on the first story of the main barn, and our outside patio and lawn.

Earlier this year we had the honor of hosting El Centro Hispano's 31st Annual Gala for the 2nd year in a row. The 250 person Gala had music, fine dining, mariachi bands, and so much more.
