A Timeless Venue Meets TikTok

From Candlelight Concerts to Horse-Drawn Carriages and everything in between, the @historicwakefieldbarn TikTok shares a unique side to our venue in an unfiltered - yet highly-edited - way. Whether you've found yourself on 'weddingtok', 'barntok', or have no idea what these mean, our page makes for a great addition to your FYP (For You Page).
One of our favorite ways of connecting with our guests and showcasing our venue with you is through TikTok! Whether showing off the latest wedding, sharing insider planning tips, or checking in with our horses, we always find time to create some creative videos.
We mainly use our page to make two kinds of videos
The First: Behind-the-Scenes Wedding Coverage
As seen to the left, these videos allow our couples to really be immersed in our spaces on event days, without having to be at the venue! It brings new ideas into action, and our vendors can see their hard work displayed and shared across a wide network. These documentary-style videos are our most common and gain a ton of traction on the app. Featured above the Cha wedding from December 2024, also linked here.
While most venues gravitate towards Instagram and Facebook - and don't get us wrong, we absolutely love both platforms - we find that TikTok allows us to show more about our own personalities and our venue. And it seems like clients feel the same way! Apart from Google, TikTok is how many of our couples find our venue. Perhaps it's the attention to detail that draws them in, or our stellar Venue Manager; it's one of life’s great mysteries.
The Second: Videos With Our Horses
Or perhaps our views come from the horses! A huge factor about our venue that we want to share is that we are more than an events location, but an active horse barn.
This is super important for our identity and the preservation of our venue's history. Our horses truly are the backbone of all our operations, and we like to treat them as such!
We currently have four horses onsite, and you'll find one of our newest team members (Noir) learning about this KPI's in our featured TikTok.
